Descriptive Statistics: What Data Can and Cannot Tell You
A high school statistics course that helps students make better decisions through real-world math
What if math actually prepared students for life?
Our high school statistics course isn’t about memorizing math. It’s about understanding the world through data – a homeschool math class that’s relevant, practical, and even fun!
Today’s teens make choices in a world shaped by data. Our curriculum teaches them how to understand uncertainty, see patterns, and connect math to meaningful stories in their own lives — skills they’ll use long after high school.
Descriptive Statistics is a semester-length, immersive experience, with cutting-edge tools that allow students to interact with stats in a way no other curriculum achieves.

The Experience Behind the Course
This isn’t generic curriculum. It’s built by Professor Adam Zingg – a seasoned college instructor with over a decade of experience teaching business, economics, math, and statistics.
He holds two master’s degrees from the University of Michigan and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with real-world expertise in finance and data.
How We Teach
- Narrative-Style Teaching Videos: Short, relaxed, and sprinkled throughout the course.
- Animated Explainers: Visual bursts that bring homeschool math to life.
- Beautiful Custom Visuals: Custom graphs and models that make abstract ideas tangible.
- Mini Check-Ins: Light, helpful assessments to keep students on track.
- Live Screen Tutorials: Students work with real data in Sheets, Desmos, and R Studio — building practical skills that turn statistics into real-life math.
