Our Homeschool Courses for Teens

Next Live batch starts on 20th Jan 2026

Skills That Shape Every Future

Teens today face big choices – about school, career, money, relationships, and life direction. Yet traditional education rarely teaches them how to think clearly, make sound decisions, or understand how the real world works.

Our Life Skills courses are built on the backbone of Economics. Why? Because Economics is a powerful lens through which to see our world. These dynamic courses help students weigh options, clarify goals, manage themselves (and others), negotiate, collaborate, and make strategic decisions to build the life they want.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are students graded?

We offer both graded and ungraded versions of our courses. See individual courses for more information on what is included in a graded course.

Are your courses accredited?

Our courses are not accredited by any institution. However, they are created by experienced educators and professionals who know their subjects deeply and care about teaching them well. Each course is held to high academic standards—comparable to what you’d expect in a strong high school or college-level class. We offer a certificate of completion at the end of our graded courses.

How long will I have access to course materials?

One year from date of payment.

Do you have a refund policy?

Yes! We offer full refund within 15 days of purchase if you are not satisfied with your purchase. Reach out to us via our contact page to request a refund.

Are there pre-requisites?

None of our courses require pre-requisites, but are designed for high school students.

What happens if a Live Online course doesn’t meet the minimum enrollment?

If fewer than six students enroll in a Live Online course, LOCAJ may cancel the course. In that case, families will receive a full refund. As an alternative, we also offer On Your Own – Graded versions of our courses, which may be a great fit if you’d still like your student to complete the material independently.

How long do the academic journeys take to complete?

We have courses ranging from four weeks to sixteens week to complete. This will vary student-to-student, and our “On Your Own” courses are completed by the student at their own pace.

How challenging are the courses?

The questions and assignments tend to not be too difficult, but the course content itself is reasonably high-level.  We don’t underestimate our students’ abilities to dig-in and learn concepts that will stretch their minds and yield high-results. These aren’t courses for wimps – they are for the curious and the passionate. 🙂

What modalities do you offer?

We call them “academic journeys”, and all courses are available in the On Your Own – Graded and On Your Own – Ungraded. Select courses are also offered Live Online – Graded, with weekly online meetings.

How do I receive course access?

If there are questions about the course material itself, you can address them to your course instructor within the course paths themselves!
